The 3.5L EcoBoost combines turbocharging and direct injection. In generates best-in-class 360 V6 horsepower plus 350 lb.-ft. of torque. This EcoBoost is standard in the Explorer Sport and Platinum.
2.3L EcoBoost Engine
A powerful 2.3L EcoBoost engine delivers 280 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque. Available with the 4WD and the Class II Trailer Tow Package
3.5L Ti-VCT V5 Engine
The 3.5L Ti-VCT (twin independent variable camshaft timing) V6 delivers 290 horsepower and 255 lb.-ft. of torque. With its variable control of valve cam timing, Ti-VCT can optimize performance across the entire low, mid, and high ranges of the power band to match the driving conditions.
