2019 Ford Mustang Summary
The legendary Ford Mustang comes back better and stronger than ever with more power, improved styling, new features, and superior handling. Performance has been at the heart of every Mustang built, and the latest version of Mustang’s performance package pushes it into the world of sports cars, ready to battle it out with the best Europe has to offer.
50 years after the release of Bullitt, the 2019 Mustang sees the return of the nostalgia-inducing trim level. Released in 1968, the motion picture made cinematic history with its iconic car chase featuring police Lieutenant Frank Bullitt, played by Steve McQueen, in the Highland Green 1968 Mustang.
The Mustang is made to be driven on any type of road and is loved by all - curves and all. Take it for a spin and expose it to roads that bend and arch. You’ll observe power-assisted steering and rear suspension delivers responsive performance. The independent rear suspension minimizes body roll and isolates road imperfections. When road conditions change, the available MagneRide Damping system responds - 1,000 times per second for each damper - and smooths out the toughest of roads.
Mustangs are known for their performance, and you can continue to rely on its ability to deliver plenty of horsepower, but don’t overlook its stopping power. The range of brakes provides ample braking power. The standard electronic line-lock keeps the front brakes locked while Mustang is in gear to warm up the rear tires.
EcoBoost Performance Package
The EcoBoost Performance Package includes 3.55 Torsen limited-slip differential, 19-inch low gloss ebony black painted aluminum wheels, and larger brake rotors with four-piston fixed calipers.

The Mustang is made to custom-fit the way you want to drive, giving you the ability to design every last detail. Make it your own by adjusting the instrument panel, the sound of its growl, and adjustable cluster hues. Just like the EPAS, Mustang continues to deliver advanced technology to deliver a personal experience and keep you in control. Choose your gauge layout, customize the colors, and tailor the selectable drive mode to elevate your driving experience. Optional on the EcoBoost and GT Premiums, standard on BULLITT
Performance is in the DNA of Mustangs. It doesn’t only looks fast, it feels fast. Push the ignition, step on the gas and find out for yourself just how fast. Personalized performance comes in the mode of three engines, two transmissions, and five performance settings. Worried about keeping your neighbors happy? The active valve performance exhaust lets you control the volume of your Mustang’s exhaust. Change from the Quiet Start mode in the morning to the Track setting to let people know you’ve arrived in the afternoon. Other modes include Normal and Sport.
2019 Ford Mustang Trims
EcoBoost models are equipped with a good amount of racy hardware that comes standard. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on the EcoBoost and is powered by the turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine giving it 310 horsepower and 350-lb-feet of torque. Standard features include 17-inch wheels, cloth seats, keyless entry and ignition, 4.2-inch center display screen, rearview camera, and Bluetooth.
EcoBoost Premium Fastback
The premium version of the EcoBoost keeps the same hardware and adds 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, power adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, and an 8-inch touchscreen with SYNC 3. The option to upgrade to a convertible is available with the EcoBoost.
GT models step up the Mustang’s performance game with the 5.0-liter V8, power adjustable front seats and rear parking sensors, and 18-inch wheels.
GT Premium Fastback
The GT Premium accommodates a sporty style and comfort, and includes heated and cooled leather-trimmed front seats, and aluminum pedals. The California Special Package features 19-inch alumnim wheels, high-gloss black painted pockets, unique front grilles with an offset tribar Pony logo. California Special badging adorns the interior and exterior, and the package includes side stripes, suede door, and seat inserts, and floor mats with red contrast stitching and California Special script logo.
GT Premium Convertible
Electrically control your cloth convertible top with a center latch right from the driver’s seat. The convertible doesn’t sacrifice any space, with a trunk large enough for your weekend getaways.
The BULLITT aesthetically differentiates itself from the GT models. The green accent hand stitching, 12-inch LCD digital instrument cluster, white cue ball shift knob to match the movie’s car, and high gloss wheels make this the most famous Mustang ever. Other BULLITT features include the dark BULLITT-specific Highland Green paint option, 19-inch wheels, BULLITT logos, and optional Recaro seats. The BULLITT even sounds different thanks to the open airbox
The key differences with the Shelby GT350 can be found under the hood. A 5.2-liter VP punches out 526 horsepower. Its race-tuned suspension and high-performance brakes set it apart from the rest. 19-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, three powertrain coolers, and adjustable drive settings are just some of its standard features.
The race-focused Selby GT350R gets most of the GT350’s standard equipment with special Michelin 19-inch tires, revised suspension tuning, and aerodynamic enhancements including a front chin splitter. The 2019 Ford Mustang brings back the legendary BULLITT and adds more elements of cool with the California Special trim. The 2019 refinements include modern technology that doesn’t overshadow the classic look and feel of a Mustang.
